Farooq Mughal Profiled by GA Asian Pacific American Bar Association as "Top Asian American Lobbyist"


Atlanta (GA) -- Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association (GAPABA) recently hosted reception honoring Georgia’s Newly-Elected and Appointed Asian Americans at the law firm of Thompson Hine in Buckhead, Georgia.


Mr. Mughal was recognized for his recent appointment as the Chairman of the Gwinnett County Community Outreach Board. Farooq Mughal, business lobbyist and mediator, is considered one of the most knowledgeable lobbyists for Asian American community and businesses in the Southeast and Georgia.

"His personality, high profile professionalism, and ability to get along with political allies and opponents alike put him in good position to continue to do excellent bipartisan work no matter who is in power in Georgia. Mr. Mughal also maintains close links with most of the House leaders and committee chairs at the State Capitol," stated Chairman of the House Sub-Committee on International Trade & Commerce Georgia State Representative Carl Gillard.


The Asian American Community Leaders list Farooq Mughal as the most powerful Asian American Lobbyist in Georgia; representing and advocating the interest of Asian American community and businesses.

Mr. Mughal is Asian American Community’s point person at the State Capitol – he helped establish the first Asian American & Pacific Islander Day at the Capitol and served as the co-chair of the Asian American Legislative Taskforce. He is one of the top public policy advisor for diverse constituency," said Gwinnett County Chair of the Legislative Delegation State Representative Pedro Marin.


Mr. Mughal represented Georgia Asian American Journalists Association, Asian American Legislative Taskforce, 100 Influential American Muslims in Georgia, Pakistani American Physicians Association, Pakistani Community of Atlanta and hosted several foreign diplomats from Korea, Pakistan, and Japan.
