Hon Farooq Mughal is a nationally recognized leader at the intersection of business, diplomacy, and public policy. A Harvard Law-educated negotiator and arbitrator, Mr. Mughal has built a legacy of trust and impact across sectors—serving as a legislative advisor, global public policy strategist, and managing partner of Mughal Strategies Global Partners, LLC, a premier government policy firm.
As a former Georgia State Representative, Mr. Mughal distinguished himself as a rising star in state politics. In his first term, he co-sponsored eight landmark bills signed into law by the Governor, advancing reforms in economic growth, criminal justice, healthcare, veterans’ services, public safety, and local tax relief. His legislative acumen and bipartisan approach earned recognition from the White House, U.S. Congress, Georgia Governors, and foreign diplomats.
Mr. Mughal’s influence extends far beyond the Capitol. He has been invited multiple times to the White House—including a historic meeting in May 2013 with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden—and recently in 2024 met with Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss veterans’ funding, healthcare, economic revitalization, and international trade policy.
As managing partner of Mughal Strategies Global Partners, Mr. Mughal has advised U.S. Congressmen, Governors, Mayors, and international leaders on trade negotiations, legislative priorities, and strategic investment. His firm has represented over $950 million in public-private economic development projects, serving clients ranging from real estate developers and foreign investors to technology firms and global institutions.
Honored as one of Atlanta Magazine’s 500 Most Influential Business Leaders (2021–2025), Mr. Mughal has held distinguished leadership roles across Georgia’s civic and business landscape. He served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chamber, led as President of the Atlanta FBI Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association, and chaired the Gwinnett County Community Outreach Board, where he advanced strategic engagement and community trust.
