With a wealth of experience as a former Georgia Representative, Farooq Mughal is a respected figure in public policy. Rep. Mughal was one of the top rising star lawmakers in the State of Georgia. In his first legislative term, Governor Brian Kemp signed Rep. Mughal’s ten co-sponsored legislation into law; focusing on veterans, law enforcement, and small business owners. He was the Vice Chairman of the Georgia AAPI Legislative Caucus, Sub-Committee Chair on Public Safety – Gwinnett Legislative Delegation, and member of the Black Legislative Caucus.
Mr. Mughal is a registered arbitrator, mediator, and business-government affairs expert. As a corporate successful businessman, Mr. Mughal has represented $950 million in public/private economic development projects. His clients include real estate developers, technology companies, world leaders, investors, and companies engaged in business expansion and government relations.
Additionally, he supports business development and offers strategic counsel to the firm’s leadership across key sectors, including agriculture, defense, education, energy, financial services, healthcare, tax, transportation, trade, and international business.
In May 2013, Mr. Mughal was one of the few national leaders invited to the White House to meet President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. In May 2012, Mr. Mughal was selected to serve on the Atlanta Steering Committee of the White House Initiatives on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Southeast Summit 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. The White House, U.S. Congress, Georgia Governors, and Georgia state legislators have recognized Mr. Mughal’s leadership in the political and public policy arena.
Rep. Mughal was named Atlanta 500 Most Influential Business Leaders by Atlanta Magazine (2021-2023). He was awarded Georgia Trend Magazine “40 Under 40″ in Government and Politics (2010) and Outstanding Georgia Citizen – Georgia Secretary of State (2012 & 2021). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chamber.
